TEMPERATE WHITE SPRINGTAILS

This is the classic Folsoma white temperate springtails commonly found available for sale. For the longest time the OIF didn't offer this species simply because the store bought strain we were working with reproduced so slowly it was almost painful. This made us reluctant to offer it, and also we simply lacked the numbers to sell at our standard quanity even if that had that not been the case. 
Good news however: we took the time to collect and isolate our own strain of the species, which we have dubbed the "OIFolsoma."  Like other members of its species, they cannot tolerate very high temperatures. However, to make up for its poor temperature tolerance with their exceedingly quick reproduction. 
 
They can be raised on charcoal, coco fiber/other "soil-like" substrates, or springtail clay. They accept the usual springtail fair when it comes to feeding; fish flakes, yeast,
