Additional Species and Back In Stock
The OIF is pleased to announce that Thai red springtails are now available for sale, and at the lowest price ever seen in Canada! These beautiful springtails are slow breeding compared with others but they make up for it with a bold and eye-catching shade of red.
Another springtail new to the lineup are Woolly Mammoth: one of the largest of the springtails found in the hobby today these guys get to a sizable 3 to 4 mm! This species needs access to both moist and dry areas. These hairy hexapods require as long as 2 months or more to reach adulthood.
For the week of July 14th the OIF has the chrysalis of Mourning Cloaks available. This gorgeous butterfly is our longest living lepidopteran in Canada. Also called the Camberwell Beauty it is the image for this News bulletin. It's overwintering phase is as an adult and so is a perfect candidate for butterfly releases late in the fall.
The website will be going some changes before the end of the month and, hopefully, gain greater function and utility for the members. More details will be announced closer to this update.
