NOVEMBER 2024 - THE OIF IS BACK!

Hi Everyone,

First, my apologies for the rather sudden suspension of business for the month of October. Things moved so fast I wasn't able to even post proper notification to let people know of plans or that things would resume as normal this month. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and sorry for any confusion caused. I am happy to report that things are to go back to normal, with a few planned changes in how some items are to be rolled out.

The most significant change will be how our isopods are now being sold. There will be a "core group" of species which will always be available for purchase throughout the year - at this time this will be our laevis, pruinosus, and dwarf white isopods. All morphs will be available through the same species page, rather than as separate pages for each.

The other isopod species at the OIF will be made available in a rotation, with a select number of species or morphs to be posted for a month. The species/morphs to be available each month will be posted here in the NEWS section, on our FB page, as well as on our Instagram.

We are now in our "Winter Shipping" season, which means that all LIVE orders will be sent in insulated boxes with heat packs (with the exception of Saturniidae cocoons). We are exploring alternative carriers to Canada Post due to their upcoming strike and lackluster service.

Finally, there are some new products we are excited to announce - live moss will now be available for purchase. In addition, we now have the overwintering cocoons of Polyphemus moths available for sale.
