SEPTEMBER 2025

Hi everyone,

September is upon us and it feels like summer just flew by, as it always does. With the fall we have a few updates;

For events and shows this month there is the Canadian Pet Expo / CRBE coming up on the 13th and 14th. This is our biggest show of the year and there will be a focus on a few of our newest products, our lineup of springtails, and still bringing Canadians the quality inverts they’ve come to expect from the OIF. Later this month we will also be vending at the Central Ontario Reptile Expo in Peterborough. That show will be happening on the 28th at the, and as always should be another fantastic expo. As always, if anyone is planning on attending and wants to pick up an order at the show just let us know and we’ll have it ready for you there.

This month our website will be getting a much needed remodelling and redesigning, so expect to see some exciting changes on that front in the coming weeks.

Our Luna caterpillars are nearing their final couple weeks before spinning their cocoons. People who are on the wait list will be offered the chance to buy first. Another breeder is able to help supplement our supply, so don't fret if you didn't manage to get on the list.

To close up, we are pleased to announce that we have one new product; BIOBOX! BioBox are complete planted setups which hold of several springtail and isopod species, along with other invertebrates that help control molds and pests. Depending on the model, specialty isopods, beetles, or giant millipedes will also be included. These units are designed to function as a perfect self-contained desktop ecosystem.
