POWDER BLUE ISOPODS + VARIENTS 
(Porcellionides pruinosus)
 
 Due to its quick growth rate, coupled with the high fertility of some varients, it can see explosive population growth, and it is easily the most prolific isopod species the OIF offers. This species has a very soft exoskeleton for an isopod, and their quick movement and brighter colours make them attractive prey item for many animals. 
 
Powder blue isopods aren't picky about their food, making them a wonderful and brightly colored addition to your terrarium's clean-up crew. They are tolerant of a wide range of conditions, and while they prefer it warm and damp, they are probably one of the most dry tolerant of the isopod species we work with.
We offer the well-known varieties blue (wild type), orange, oreo crumbles, and creamsicle. Two new varieties we've been working on are Red Horizon and Cookies & Cream, which should be available by the end of 2024
